Editor says, in this article we describe a scenario where the Founding Fathers are philosophers not politicians and instead of the Declaration of Independence, they write this letter.

I am assuming as that was still a decade away, the Bourbons find common cause with the Hanoverians because the FF are philosophers/political scientists (not politicians) who have issued a global call for republicans True, true, but it took a decade for the influence to be felt .. and I should have made that clear. Sorry about that.
